🕒 Pickup Days & Hours
All pickups are by scheduled appointment only to keep things fast and organized. Once your invoice is paid, you’ll receive a link to book your pickup time.
Pickup Hours:
• Monday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Closed: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
⚠️ Please Note: You have 3 days after the auction ends (Monday to Wednesday) to pick up your items.
No late pickups will be accepted.
Any items not picked up by Wednesday at 6:00 PM will be forfeited, and you will still be charged for your order plus a 2% restocking fee based on your total invoice.
❓Frequently Asked Questions
How do I schedule a pickup?
Once the auction has closed, all successful bidders will receive their final invoice by email. The credit card on file will be automatically charged, unless you’ve previously noted that you prefer to pay by e-transfer.
If you’d like to pay by e-transfer, please mention this prior to bidding in the pre-bidding instructions when registering.
If you’re paying by e-transfer, your final invoice will still be emailed to you. Once your invoice has been paid in full—either by e-transfer or automatic credit card payment—you will receive a booking link via email to schedule your pickup day and time.

Can someone else pick up my items?
✅ Yes — as long as the order is paid by e-transfer.
Just make sure they have your name and order number. A screenshot of your confirmation email works great.
❌ If you paid by credit card, the cardholder/bidder must pick up the items in person — no exceptions. This is to protect against fraud and keep things fair for everyone.
What if I miss my pickup time?
If you need to reschedule your pickup, no problem — as long as it falls within our posted pickup days and hours. All items must be picked up by Wednesday at 6:00 PM following the auction close.
Missed pickups past this deadline will be automatically forfeited and considered abandoned. You will still be charged for your order, plus a 2% restocking fee. No exceptions or extensions will be granted.
Do I need to bring anything?
Yes — bring your confirmation email or order number. If you’re picking up something heavy, bring someone to help load it and any boxes or bags you might need.
Can I combine multiple auction pickups?
No — each auction has its own designated pickup window. Items from different auctions must be picked up during their respective dates. We are not able to hold or combine orders from separate auctions.

Can I pick up outside of scheduled hours?
❌ No — pickups are only available Monday to Wednesday during posted hours.
However, ✅ you may reschedule your pickup within that pickup window if needed — just contact us ahead of time.
⚠️ Important: Any items left after the final pickup day will be subject to forfeiture, as outlined in our policy above.

As part of registration, your card will be charged a temporary $1 verification fee to confirm it’s valid.
This is not a real charge — it will disappear from your account within a few days.
🧾 Important: If you win an auction, your credit card will be charged automatically for the total amount of your winning bids unless you’ve arranged to pay by e-transfer ahead of time.

🔁 Return Policy – What You Need to Know
At Auction X, we strive to provide accurate listings and fair assessments of all items. However, please remember that we are an auction house, not a retail store. All sales are final, but we do allow limited returns under very specific conditions.
s a liquidation auction company, all sales are final. We do not accept returns for minor issues such as missing standard hardware (e.g., generic screws, nuts, or dowels) or instruction manuals, even if these items are not explicitly mentioned in the listing. Please bid accordingly.
When reviewing an item, photos always take precedence over written descriptions or listed model numbers. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you are bidding on. If there is any discrepancy, the photos are considered the most accurate representation of the item.
✅ When Returns Are Accepted:
To be eligible for a return:
• You must complete a Return Authorization Request and receive staff approval. (On site)
• The item must be returned within 3 calendar days of pickup.
• The item must be in its original condition and packaging — just as it was when picked up.
If a replacement is available, we’ll provide one. If not, a full refund will be issued to your original method of payment.
✅ Valid Reasons for a Return:
Returns will only be accepted if:
• The item has major damage or defects not listed or photographed.
• The item is missing key components that were not noted or shown in the listing.
• The item was listed as the wrong product or model not listed or photographed.
❌ Returns Will Not Be Accepted For:
• Buyer’s remorse (changed your mind, wrong size, not what you expected, etc.)
• Minor cosmetic issues (e.g. small scratches or scuffs)
• Missing manuals, generic parts, or bonus items
• Opened or used consumables or perishables
• Clothing, shoes, or undergarments (due to hygiene reasons)
• Items that are damaged or assembled after pickup
• Items unboxed, discarded, or altered at pickup (to fit in a vehicle, etc.)
• Any item sold as “Salvage,” “Parts Only,” or “As-Is”

We strongly encourage you to inspect your items at the time of pickup. Once the item leaves our building, we consider the sale final — especially if the item has been removed from packaging or loaded into a vehicle.
🧾 All Items Are Sold “As Is – Where Is”
We do our best to describe each item clearly and accurately, but all items are sold without warranty or guarantee. By bidding, you agree to accept the item in its listed condition and take full responsibility for your purchase.
🔁 What is a Proxy Bid?
A proxy bid is the maximum amount you’re willing to pay for an item. The system will automatically bid on your behalf, just enough to keep you in the lead — but never more than your max.
💡 Example:
Let’s say an item is currently at $10, and you place a proxy bid of $30.
• If no one else bids, you win it for $10 (or the next bid increment).
• If someone else bids $12, the system will automatically raise your bid to $13 to keep you ahead.
• It will keep doing this up to your max of $30.
• If someone bids over $30, then you’re out — unless you increase your max.

• You don’t have to babysit the auction
• You’re always bidding just enough to win, not overpaying
• You can set it and forget it — the system does the work for you
📌 Important Tips:
• Your max bid is private — other bidders can’t see it.
• You can increase your max at any time.
• If two people place the same max bid, the person who placed it first wins.
Proxy bidding is the smartest way to stay competitive without stressing over every single bid. Just enter your best price, and let the system do the rest!
⏱️ What Is a Soft Close?
At Auction X, we use a soft close system to make the bidding process fair and give everyone a fair shot at winning.
🔁 How It Works:
When an item is about to close, but someone places a bid in the final moments (usually within the last 1 or 2 minutes), the auction timer for that item will automatically extend by a short period — typically 1 or 2 minutes.
This gives other bidders a chance to respond, just like a real in-person auction.
💡 Example:
• An item is set to close at 8:00 PM.
• You place a bid at 7:59 PM.
• The timer extends to 8:01 PM, giving others a chance to bid back.
• If another bid comes in at 8:00:30, the timer extends again — and so on — until no more bids are placed.
✅ Why We Use a Soft Close:
• It prevents last-second “sniping” from automated tools or fast-clickers.
• It gives all bidders a fair opportunity to place their best offer.
• It creates the true auction feel — just like being in a live bidding room.
If you’re bidding and notice the timer jumps a minute or two — don’t worry! That’s the soft close in action. Keep watching and be ready to place your final bid.

2. View all your watched items in one easy list inside your bidder dashboard.
3. Stay updated — the system will show:

Yes, absolutely! We encourage you to inspect your items at pickup.
We just ask that you be respectful of others and, if needed, step to the side to inspect so we can continue helping others with their scheduled pickups efficiently.

Yes! You can update your personal information, including your email address and payment details, anytime by logging into your HiBid account.
📧 What if I don’t get my invoice email?
First, check your junk or spam folder.
If you still haven’t received it by 10:00 AM the day after the auction, feel free to give us a call and we’ll be happy to help get it to you.
💰 Are there reserves or minimum bids?
All items start at just $2 — no high reserves or inflated starting prices.
